Beauty Garde Lash and Brow Shampoo Review

I love wearing makeup but I hate having to scrub it off my face, so as soon as I saw Beauty Garde’s lash and brow shampoo show up on my BzzAgent (a handy tool that connects influencers with brands) dashboard, I signed up. What showed up at my door was exactly as shown in the preview images—a beautifully designed bottle of cleanser with a handy scrubbing brush at the top. I decided to give it a try as soon as possible so I piled on a ton of makeup and this was my takeaway:

The Good

It actually worked! The cleanser washed all of my makeup off my eyes fairly easily. As promised, the shampoo is oil free and doesn’t leave a greasy residue which is great considering that I have sensitive skin and have to watch what I put on my face.

The Bad

I hate that this list has to be as long as it is compared to The Good, but this product has a few drawbacks. On the description of the lash and brow shampoo, Beauty Garde states that this is a gentle product for people with sensitive eyes, but as soon as I started rubbing off my eye makeup, my eyes started to burn.

Another thing you may not have thought about—if you’re wiping your makeup off with a non-absorbent brush, where does it go? Hint: all over your face. This would work for small amounts of makeup that could just plant themselves on the bristles of the brush and stay there, but not for the full face of makeup with mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, etc.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product for most people—especially not those with sensitive skin and eyes. That being said, you should definitely consider your level of sensitivity and check out some other reviews before writing it off completely. I always appreciate being sent items to review and try to give my honest opinion. Have a product you would like to see me try? Let me know!
